The growth in our daughter since joining Southern Phoenix FC has been incredible. She comes home excited after every session, and the coaching has taken her confidence to a whole new level. We’ve loved seeing her challenged in the right way while still having fun.

As the region’s premier development program, Southern Phoenix FC fields boys’ and girls’ teams in the Football NSW Junior Development League, as well as Boys Youth League (BYL3) and Girls Youth League (GYL2). The club is committed to excellence in coaching delivery, individual player development and high-quality team performances, while ensuring football remains positive, accessible and community-connected.

What is Southern Phoenix FC?

Southern Phoenix Football Club is the new elite representative pathway for boys and girls across Southern NSW – formed through the amalgamation of Southern Branch Football (boys) and South East Phoenix FC (girls). United under one badge, Southern Phoenix FC provides a fun, safe and inclusive environment where all players are valued and supported to reach their full potential.

The maturity, composure and professionalism shown combined with genuine encouragement and empathy toward the players and created an environment that was both competitive and nurturing.

It was evident that these coaches understand how to motivate young athletes constructively while maintaining respect, positivity and strong values. Their conduct serves as an excellent benchmark for community sport.

Local football development pathway

Southern Phoenix FC works closely with local associations and community clubs to build coaching capacity, identify emerging talent and strengthen the wider football ecosystem across the region. Our focus is long-term player development, supported by clear pathways to higher representative honours and senior football opportunities.

The club serves players and families from a vast region – spanning the Southern Tablelands, Southern Highlands, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla, the Far South Coast, and surrounding areas – offering a home for motivated young footballers seeking high-level training and competition in a supportive environment.

Players

Southern Phoenix FC offers development pathways for boys and girls from Under 9 to Under 18, including Junior Development League (U9–U12) and Youth League squads (U13–U18). Wherever players join the journey, they’ll find a clear path to grow, compete and progress.

All Southern Phoenix FC coaches hold Football Australia-approved qualifications and meet Football NSW’s strict standards for youth development, safety and professionalism. Our coaching team receives ongoing training, mentoring and accreditation to ensure every player benefits from the highest-quality development environment available.
